Counselling provides an opportunity to look on issues that currently affect your life in a way that is safe, confidential and without judgement.
At the Arun Counselling Centre (ACC) you will work with a counsellor to develop a trusting and accepting relationship. This will help you to explore the nature of your current feelings, past events, and future hopes. You will have the chance to explore difficult issues in your life and think about how you are dealing with these and whether there might be better ways of managing.
We help people in our local community to manage problems such as:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Relationship difficulties
- Anger management
- ADHD
- Bereavement
- Loneliness
- Self-esteem
- Separation
- Bullying
- Gender issues
- Attachment problems
- Abuse
- Covid related anxiety
- Discrimination
- Redundancy
... and many, many more.
Please remember ACC is not a crisis service.
If you are in urgent need of emotional or medical support, please contact your GP. You can also call the 24-hour West Sussex Mental Healthline (0300 5000 101) or the Samaritans who are also open day and night all year around. Their phone number is 116 123.
