We set up interviews several times during each year.
We provide two hours of group supervision (four counsellors per group) each fortnight. Students pay £25 per month for their supervision - by monthly Direct Debit. We are not able to pay travel expenses for counselling students.
It is expected that all counsellors will become members of a professional body such as BACP, UKCP or NCS and will attend at least two of our workshops each year as part of their ongoing professional development.
All counsellors, including trainees, are expected to commit to the service for at least two years, hopefully for much longer!
We would also expect that if you are in training you would also have experience of your own weekly therapy.
How many clients would I be expected to see each week?
Our student counsellors usually see three clients each week.
How much supervision will I get?
We offer group supervision (4 supervisees per group). The groups meet for 2 hours each fortnight. Supervision is currently online via Teams or Zoom.
What modality of supervision do you offer
Many of our groups are mixed in terms of modalities. We have supervisors with humanistic, psychodynamic and intergrative backgrounds. Our philosophy is that we can all earn from each other.
