Susan has over 20 years of commercial experience. She worked in the private financial sector in the City of London as a Reinsurance Broker at senior management level. 

Susan was invited to join a non-executive team for a small charity supporting children at risk of exclusion from schools. She also undertook social work training and mentored the children at risk within the schools. Susan has also worked as a Citizens Advice bureau advisor.

Susan has since retrained to become an Accredited Integrative Counsellor. Her work has spanned both the private and the public sector over the past ten years. Her experience includes working with couples, with vulnerable women, in a GP surgery, and with those struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. 

Her experience has given her a broad range of skills both in the private and the not for profit sector that she enjoys putting to use for the benefit of ACC. In her leisure time she enjoys long walks in the South Downs.

Louise has worked for a leading mental health charity for many years. She is am a BACP Humanistic therapist with over twenty years’ experience. She work with clients experiencing mental health issues such as anxiety and depression, infertility including secondary fertility issues, parenting issues and bereavement.

A dedicated and experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and Health Service Leader with over 35 years of service in the NHS, including significant leadership roles in clinical and digital domains, seeking post-retirement opportunities in non-executive director roles, trustee positions, pro bono participation work and consultancy work to continue contributing to the healthcare and non-profit care sectors.

Julie Bashford

Julie is a qualified Person-Centred Therapist, further qualified as a CYP practitioner and member of BACP. She is experienced working with both adults and children in private practice and schools. Prior to training as a Therapist Julie worked in the corporate sector / predominantly private jets and corporate travel and her degree was a BA hons in Business. She is the mum of 2 boys so most of her life when not working is spent in mud watching football and rugby.

Louise has 18 years of experience in the Civil Service, across a range of policy, strategy and operational roles in the Home Office, Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. In her spare time, she has volunteered for Shout, the UK's first and only 24/7 text service for anyone struggling with their mental health, and is currently a retail volunteer for Royal Trinity Hospice and Shelter. She is also passionate about adventure travel and the outdoors, having led National Trust working holidays and managed Youth Hostel Association properties.
